Subscription Tier

A subscription tier is the pricing plan level that determines a fleet's vehicle limits, feature access, and monthly cost. Clear Plates offers three tiers: Starter ($295/mo) for up to 50 active vehicles, Pro ($599/mo) for up to 150 active vehicles, and Premium ($899/mo) for up to 300 active vehicles with all features including forecasting and the renter portal.

Each tier includes core features: auto-scanning, violation tracking, driver assignments, chargebacks, cost reports, and bulk payment. The primary differentiator is the active vehicle limit — how many currently-in-service vehicles you can monitor. Higher tiers also include priority support and advanced features. The Renter Portal add-on ($199/mo) is available for Starter and Pro plans that need fleet-owner billing capabilities without upgrading to Premium.

Subscription tiers are managed through Stripe, with monthly billing via saved payment method. Fleet operators can upgrade, downgrade, or manage their subscription through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from the dashboard Settings page. Clear Plates warns operators when their active vehicle count approaches the plan limit and suggests upgrading before hitting the cap.
