About Us

Built by People Who Get It

Clear Plates was born from real frustration. After nearly a decade of managing commercial fleet violations across the country, we knew there had to be a better way. So we built one.

Clear Plates was founded in New York City to solve a problem that costs commercial fleet operators hundreds of thousands of dollars every year: unmanaged violations. NYC's enforcement landscape spans five separate agencies, each with different databases, payment systems, and escalation timelines. A fleet of 100 vehicles can accumulate hundreds of violations per year across DOF parking tickets, speed and red light camera citations, OATH idling notices, and BIC environmental violations. Without centralized tracking, penalties escalate silently — late fees, default judgments, interest, boot and tow charges turn routine tickets into four-figure liabilities. Clear Plates brings nearly a decade of violation management experience to this problem, combining automated nightly scanning of official city violation records with rental window liability matching, driver assignment tracking, and penalty escalation alerts.

Nearly a Decade of Experience

Our team has spent close to 10 years in the violation management space. We have seen how fleets of every size struggle with the same problems: missed deadlines, unclear liability, and penalties that snowball because nobody caught them in time.

Nationwide Perspective, NYC Focus

We have managed violations for fleets operating across the country. That wide lens gave us deep insight into what works and what does not. We chose to focus on NYC first because it is the most complex violation landscape in the country, and the fleets here need the most help.

Deep Industry Expertise

We understand DOF penalty escalation timelines down to the day. We know how OATH hearings work, when defaults happen, and what it takes to get fines reduced. This is not just software. It is built on years of hands-on experience navigating the system.

Built for Fleet Operators

We built Clear Plates because we understand the daily pressure fleet managers face. Every feature exists because we have seen the problem firsthand, whether it is a DSP trying to sort out which violations are theirs or a leasing company chasing chargebacks across dozens of renters.
