The NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is the city agency responsible for issuing, adjudicating, and collecting parking and camera violation fines. DOF manages the largest violation dataset in NYC — over 16.1 million violations per year totaling approximately $1.088 billion in fines.

DOF handles all parking tickets (written by traffic agents) and all automated camera violations (speed, red light, bus lane). Their online payment portal, CityPay, is where vehicle owners look up and pay their fines. DOF also manages the hearing process for contesting parking and camera tickets.
