FLEET MANAGEMENT

Violation Digest

Also known as: daily digest, violation email, fleet alert email

What is a Violation Digest?

A violation digest is a scheduled email summary sent to fleet operators after the nightly violation sync completes. The digest consolidates the most important information from the scan into a single, actionable email — new violations found, vehicles approaching boot risk, OATH hearing deadlines, and violations nearing penalty escalation milestones.

Digests are sent at 9 AM UTC daily (one hour after the violation sync runs at 8 AM UTC). They are structured by severity: critical items (boot-eligible vehicles, approaching defaults) appear first, followed by warnings (aging violations near penalty milestones), and then informational items (newly detected violations). Each section includes actionable links directly to the relevant violations in the dashboard.

Digest preferences are configurable per user — team members can choose to receive daily digests, weekly summaries, or opt out entirely. For fleet operators, the digest serves as a daily brief that ensures nothing slips through the cracks. Clear Plates generates and sends digests automatically via SendGrid, formatted with the Clear Plates brand and optimized for mobile reading.
