FLEET MANAGEMENT

CSV Export

Also known as: spreadsheet export, data export, download CSV

What is a CSV Export?

CSV export is the ability to download fleet data as comma-separated value files that can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application. Exports are available for vehicles, driver assignments, DOF violations, OATH violations, BIC violations, and liability reports — each formatted with relevant columns for the data type.

CSV exports serve multiple purposes for fleet operators: offline analysis (pivot tables, custom formulas), record-keeping (archiving quarterly violation data), sharing with partners (sending violation summaries to vehicle owners or insurance providers), and payroll processing (exporting chargeback data for payroll deductions).

Each export type includes the most useful fields. A violation CSV includes plate number, issue date, violation code, location, amount due, status, and assigned driver. A vehicle CSV includes plate, state, start/end dates, and active status. Clear Plates generates properly formatted CSV files with escaped special characters, ready for immediate import into any spreadsheet tool or accounting system.
